On July 4th 2006 weekend we stayed at Yankee Springs Park near Hastings, MI.
Garrett had the time of his life biking, boating, swimming, and fishing.
All the kids swarmed to the dock trying to catch fish, most were catching small brim.
Garrett has a history of catching the largest fish, and a trophy to prove it!
Once again he suprised everyone with his bass.
Mom and Dad enjoyed lounging at the campsite basking in the fragerant blue haze of campfire smoke, citronella, and Off while listening to the lilting sounds of nearby campers cursing and screaming at their dog and significant others.

Bath Update
Spring has officially sprung, daylight savings time has given us time to mow the grass.
Suddenly there is more to do and be done than could possibly fit into your day.
But hey, at least it is warm and the days are longer so you have more time to do it all…or so you tell yourself.
Oh yeah…Bath
We have managed to get the water completed in the basement bath.
The toilet is operational and the shower stall glass is in progress.
Several panels of wall board have been installed for a little privacy.
Progress has slowed as the weather has demanded the dandilions heads be chopped off.
The sea of yellow has been replace by the micro palm trees of white.
But who is complaining? The world is green and the days have moved into the 60’s.
The nights remain in the mid to low fourty’s, absolutely perfect camping weather!!!!!!!
Spring Break 2006
Slowly we gain, bit by bit…
As you can see Dan has the tile laid in the new downstairs bathroom.
Walls are next!
This week is SpringBreak here in Marshall.
Dan, Garrett, and Michael have been busy around the house tending to long running winter projects.
Several weekends ago we managed to get Dan’s motorcycle running.
So Michael’s GR650 has become the focus of attention.
Garrett’s new dirtbike prompted a cleaning of the carb on the YZ125.
The Lightning intake manifold gasket is complete, except it runs really badly and is hard to keep running, it acts like it is starved for fuel. Perhaps that will get resolved today.
Dan’s 87 Diesel Jetta continues to have electrical issues.
It just won’t hold a charge. I feel it must be a stuck relay or…
The grass is starting to grow! It is so good to see a little green again.
But the BEST news of all is the question by Matt if Junior 2.0 meant anything?
Congratulations to Jennifer and Matt Simerson!
